The eloquent Victorian architecture, the horse drawn trolleys and the authentic steam train all add to that feeling. Quite frankly, it’s typical of a Disney theme park, and it’s a key difference between a Disney theme park and any other theme park.
The first thing that usually comes to mind when someone thinks of any Disney production is quality. Walt Disney himself defined quality in everything he did.
He never settled for second best, and these standards of excellence are still apparent in the Disney company today.
Walt Disney created a team of people, who he thought were more talented than he was, to help he develop new ideas that could be used in Disney theme parks and other aspects of the company. He called this talented group of thinkers Imagineers. Today there are still imagineers working to develop new ideas that are constantly being utilized for Disney theme parks all over the world.
While most theme parks are not into detail, at a Disney theme park nothing is too small to be detailed. This is why Disney theme parks are the best.
Whenever a new attraction is being developed, Walt Disney Imagineers begin work on sketching what the attraction will look like. A story is created to help keep the planning of the attraction on track, and a scale model is created to help visualize the building or attraction that is being designed.
All of these steps help the architects create the necessary plans to build such a detailed building. This is where Disney passes the competition.
Wherever a guest goes in Walt Disney World, they will encounter a themed area. This is all because of the Walt Disney belief that it is important to give the people more than they expect.
Not only can the guests visit amazing theme parks, but the can stay in hotels representing many different areas and time periods. The idea of theming has coincided with Disney's excellence and this is what people have come to expect over the years from any Disney venture.
